Q’ueswachaca Bridge & Circuit of the 4 Lakes – Day Trip From Cusco

  • 4:30 am – 5:00 am
You will be picked up from your hotel between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. depending on where your hotel is located. We will then head towards the South Valley of Cusco passing by small traditional villages of the region. Our first stop will be in Cusipata where we will have a delicious breakfast. From here we will continue our journey to the viewpoint of Combapata.

  • We will continue our drive to Yanaoca which is one of the eight districts of the province of Canas and one of the tourist attractions of Cusco. Then we will continue our journey to Qeswachaka for another hour arriving at the district of Q’ewe where the famous Inca Bridge of “Q’eswachaka” is located. This incredible bridge is built from vegetable fibre and has a length of 28.67 meters and has an altitude of 3,600 meters. A surprising fact is that the bridge is rebuilt once a year in June during a festival by four local communities: Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Ccollana, Quehue and Pelcaro.

  • Here we will have time to explore Q’eswachaka and the surrounding area and our guide will tell us the history of this incredible work of Inca engineering. After visiting the Inca Bridge, we will head to Mosoc Llaqta where the house of Tupa Amaru II is located and after a guided visit we will head towards the circuit of the four lakes: Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopia and Pomacanchi. After this we will continue driving for 15 minutes until we arrive at Cusipata, where we will have our buffet lunch.

  • 04:00 pm
Our day tour in Cusco concludes with a scenic drive in private transport to the city of Cusco where we will arrive around 16:00 p.m.
