Breakfast will be served at 6am so that we can be ready to set off on our hike by 06:30 a.m. to Santa Teresa (16 km). The first two hours of our tour will be uphill, which is part of an authentic Inca Trail. On the way, we will have several stops to learn more about the rich flora and fauna of the area. We will cross a section of the Inca trail that once connected the sacred city of Machu Picchu with the city of Vilcabamba (the lost city of the Incas), where our guide will explain in detail the significance of these places, the history of the Incas and the communication system they had. We will have lunch in Quellomayo. Note that the trail is hilly.

We will hike for another 3 hours reaching the thermal baths of Colcamayo where we will have time to relax and enjoy the therapeutic waters. Our final destination is the village of Santa Teresa where we will spend our second night in a hostel.
