The Sacred Valley (or Valle Sagrado de los Incas) is a region in Peru, located in the Andean highlands just north of Cusco, and it was one of the most important areas for the Inca Empire. It’s known for its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and archaeological sites.

Day 1: Sacred Valley Of The Incas

You will be picked-up from your hotel at 7:30 a.m. in our bus to start the visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

  • Our first stop is PISAQ, a picturesque town of mestizo and colonial physiognomy; located in the province of Calca, 32 kilometers from the Imperial City that has an impressive archeological site with terraces and ceremonial places. We will visit the handicraft, artisanal and local produce markets, as well as the archaeological sacred remains of the Inca civilization.
  • We will then head to URUBAMBA, a beautiful town surrounded by majestic landscapes, including the snow capped mountain of Chicón. Here we will have our buffet lunch. Our next stop is OLLANTAYTAMBO, the architectural scenery is of exceptional interest for its size, style and originality of the buildings. Ollantaytambo is one of the most unusual and surprising archaeological parks in Peru, due to the variety in architecture styles and the uniqueness of each one of them. Here we will visit the archaeological remains and the typical fairs and markets.
  • We will then take the train departing at 14.36 p.m. and arrive to Aguas Calientes at 18.10 p.m. approximately. After checking-in to your hostel, you will have the option to visit the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes. In the evening (time to be confirmed) you will participate in an orientation where our guide will outline the next day’s schedule and activities to Machu Picchu.
 
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

After breakfast, we will head to the bus station (about a 10-minute walk) to take the bus to the citadel of Machupicchu. Our entrance time to Machupicchu will be between 6am-3pm (depending on availability at the time of purchase). Once in Machupicchu we will have a two-hour guided tour where we will visit the main places of Machupicchu including the tower of the watchmen, the main square, the sundial, etc. At the end of the tour we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

The return train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo will be at 14.36 pm or 19pm (depending on availability). From Ollantaytambo you will be transferred to Cusco by private bus arriving at around 18.30 p.m. or 23:00 p.m.
