Journey to Caral: Unearthing Peru’s Sacred Oldest Civilization

Discover Caral and Bandurria: A Journey to the Oldest Civilizations of the Americas

Travel back in time on this full-day tour to two of Peru’s most remarkable archaeological sites: Caral and Bandurria.

Located in the Supe Valley, just 182 km north of Lima and 23 km from the Pacific coast, Caral is recognized as the oldest city in the Americas. Dating back nearly 5,000 years, Caral features an extraordinary array of monumental architecture, including ceremonial and administrative buildings that highlight its complexity and cultural significance. Its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site underscores its importance as a cradle of civilization in the New World.

Our tour also includes a visit to Bandurria, a monumental archaeological complex located just south of Huacho. Also dating to the Late Preceramic period (4000–2000 BC), Bandurria offers further insight into early urban development along Peru’s central coast.

This immersive 14-hour tour begins with pick-up at 6:00 AM from select districts in Lima: Barranco, Miraflores, and San Isidro.

Join us for an unforgettable day exploring the roots of ancient Andean civilization.
